Country Club Tasmania Regional Activities

Launceston is the gateway to the internationally acclaimed Tamar Valley Wine Region, with more than 30 cellar doors spread over 170km of gently winding roads along the riverbank. We can arrange tours of the region for your delegates, or you may consider one of the vineyards for an off-site event. Within 10 minutes of Country Club is the picturesque Cataract Gorge, a spectacular landscape of ancient rocks and untamed waters combined with rolling lawns and delightful gardens. This area can be accessed by hike or mountain bike from Country Club – why not challenge your delegates to a race to the Gorge followed by white water rafting down the river? This course has been plotted by contestants in the Mark Webber Pure Tasmania Challenge, and can be recreated for you.

The iconic Boags Brewery is situated in the heart of Launceston, with the Boags Centre for Beer Lovers museum and a Brewery Tour exploring the history of the brewery, and the entire beer production process. There are also many historic townships and homesteads within a short drive of Launceston, including Brickendon and Woolmers estates at Longford, which can be explored at your leisure.
