In addition to the activities available as part of Saffire’s accommodation rates, the property has several experiences designed to bring your delegates closer to the edge of nature and inspire them with spectacular scenery and wildlife. The purpose-built boat, Saffire, can accommodate up to 33 people and boasts excellent stability, manoeuvrability and a dry ride in the diverse weather conditions this area is well-known for. Saffire has been tailored to maximise guests’ experience while ensuring their comfort. This rigid inflatable NAIAD boat features include on-board bathroom, heating and a bow-loading system where the boat can pull up on the shore and guests can disembark straight onto the sand via the bow.
There are several experiences of varying lengths that you may choose to treat your delegates to, including full and half-day voyages to nearby Schouten Island, of the southern end of the Freycinet Peninsula and part of the national park. Or you may choose a one-hour fast-paced “blast” up the coastline of Great Oyster Bay alongside Hazards Beach to Schouten Passage and return past Muirs Beach. For the adventurous, we conduct quad bike experiences along private four-wheel drive tracks through coastal heath-land to Southern Friendly Beaches in the Freycinet National Park.
Helicopter experiences can be booked, where the destination is yours to choose. A 10-person S76 helicopter will pick your delegates up from the nearby helipad and transport you into a world of secluded fly-fishing spots, boat and train trips in Tasmania’s rugged West, or play a round of golf at the internationally renowned Barnbougle Dunes Golf Links in the state’s North.
