From Olegas Truchanas and Peter Dombrovskis to Grant Dixon and Dennis Harding, Tasmania’s internationally-renowned wilderness photographers have shown the world the amazing wild landscapes – the peaks, lakes, forests, oceans shorelines and unique wildlife – of this southern island. The works of our best photographers glow from the walls of the ten rooms of the Wilderness Gallery, which is recognised as one of the world's finest collections of nature photography. Built around a central garden of native alpine plants, rocks and pools, the gallery incorporates a compact theatre and gift shop. And after you’ve enjoyed the marvellous photographic images in the galleries, you can venture out from Cradle Mountain Chateau with your own camera to explore and capture the same wilderness that inspired the photographers.
