Cradle Mountain Chateau is located close to the northern boundary of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, just two hours drive from Launceston, one hour from Devonport or one and a half hours from Strahan.

From Hobart, take the Midland Highway (A1) north to Perth, turn left on the B52 and rejoin A1. Past Deloraine, turn left on the B13 then left again on the C156 to Sheffield. Turn left in Sheffield on the C136 to Cradle Mountain.

From Launceston, take Highway 1 west from Prospect. Past Deloraine, turn left on the B13 then left again on the C156 to Sheffield. Turn left in Sheffield on the C136 to Cradle Mountain.

From Devonport, take the B14 south to Sheffield. Turn left in Sheffield on the C136 to Cradle Mountain.

From Strahan, take the A10 through Zeehan, Rosebery and Tullah. Turn right on the C136 to Cradle Mountain.
